Article Issues – Keywords and SEO

Solving your Articles Issues:

One of the most misunderstood issues that marketers have is understanding when and where to use keywords in their articles.

This is all done for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purposes ONLY!

There is no other reason for you to worry about keywords. With that said… let’s get started. I use Google’s keyword search tool. You can get it for free at: adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?defaultView=2 (Add the http://)

Even though there are many different kinds of software out for doing this I like to use Google’s tool because after all… It’s by Google, and it’s free. Most other software helps filter keyword choices and are very helpful, but you can do it with this FREE tool just as easily.

Choose some keywords that are related to your topic and insert them into the Keyword Tool.

At that point you will be displayed the amount of searches each keyword has. I then want to find out how many competing pages on the Internet are using this keyword. If I find a keyword that is highly searched (usually any that have over 2500 searches) I then open up the standard Google search page and insert the keywords into the search box between quotes (“keyword”) and look to the left to find out how many competing pages there are.You will see the number to the right.

I like to keep that number under 100K. (preferably under 50K)

Once I have them sorted by those requirements I am ready to start writing my article.

ALWAYS put the keyword into the title. My example here is “Article Issues”. Then be sure to get that keyword into the summary area also. As you can see I have done that.

Then be sure to have your keyword placed in the first paragraph FOR SURE, and sprinkle it throughout the articles body. I usually like to keep it at about 4-6%. (4-6 times for every 100 words) If you do it much more than that it may get rejected by the article site itself for CRAMMING KEYWORDS or it may not get the results that you want from search engines for the very same reason.

BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO OVER DO THIS!

I have also found that Google loves italicized keywords too. So do italicize your keywords every once in a while like I have done above.

This article should get really good results for it’s simplicity. Remember why you are doing this in the first place!
